Happy New Year! Bookmark UniSync has prepared a new version for everyone again. Honestly, I've been looking forward to this update - because some features have been polished for a long time and are finally ready to meet you all.

🚀 Real-time Sync is Finally Here​

This is a feature many friends have been waiting for.

Imagine this: you save a work website on your office computer, and when you get home and open your personal computer, that bookmark is already sitting nicely in your bookmark bar. No need to manually click sync, no need to wait half a day - it just naturally appears there.

This is the experience brought by real-time sync.

The sync method in previous versions was indeed a bit "clunky" - it required manual triggering to complete the sync. Now in this new version, with WebSocket technology, the bookmark sync delay is basically negligible. You add a bookmark on device A, and device B receives it almost instantly.

It's also very simple to enable - just enter the configuration interface and uncheck the "Manual Sync" checkbox. When you see a small checkmark (✅) in the bottom right corner of the icon, it means auto-sync is successfully enabled.

🛡️ An Explanation of a Change​

Let me talk about that previous setting - by default, all local bookmarks were deleted when exiting the plugin.

This design was originally to avoid data conflicts, but after using it for a while, we found it wasn't very user-friendly. Many users said they had to be very careful every time they exited, fearing that a mistake would cause them to lose their bookmarks.

With this update, we listened to everyone's suggestions - now exiting the plugin won't touch your local bookmarks anymore. Exit whenever you want, no need to worry about data loss.

This improvement is thanks to every user who gave us feedback - it's your voices that make the product better and better to use.
